About this workI think this captures the spirit of Britain and how I feel in summer 2016

Waiting for the Rain to Stop
About this workI was having a difficult time with myself and my art work. I was on my way to speak to someone about it. It started to rain heavily so I stopped along with several other people under a bridge. The rain was teeming down and we were all sheltering there in a huddle. It was a bit of a turning point. The painting depicted exactly how I felt, which helped me to connect positively with my work as well.

River Stour, Canterbury
About this workI spent a weekend with my niece when collecting my new cat, a stray which had moved into her house, much to the dismay of her own cats. On a whim, we went on a boat trip on the River Stour. It was curious, in a small boat surrounded by tall medieval houses on both sides. A ducking stool and a huge bronze mask on one of the river banks. I could imagine Chaucer.....

Penwith, Cornwall
About this workThis is a print of sketches I did on the Penwith Peninsula at the far end of Cornwall. I find this area very inspiring.

Towards Bryher
About this workI spent a few days on Tresco on a painting holiday. Beautiful surroundings, excellent company, and a great teacher, Maggie O'Brien. I produced this piece on Tresco, looking towards Bryher, another small island on the Scillies.
